Experimental set up

  • Two fuel cell modules (45 W) at two sites in the forest
  • Joint supply of the soil moisture monitoring station and the leachate monitoring station at each site
  • Programmable switching between both stations
  • Timer module for alternating charge of the buffer batteries from the two monitoring stations
  • Equipped with 2 x 10 L methanol to supply the enviLog data logger and vacuum control for a period of approx. 2 years without additional energy input
  • Installation of all technology in a thermally insulated aluminium box with special paint
  • Installation and commissioning by ecoTech
